Question: Who did Cain get married to since they were only four people at that time as the first creation that the Bible tends to tell us in Genesis 4:13-16?
The Bible does not explicitly state who Cain married, but it's generally believed that he married his sister or niece:
· Awan In the Book of Jubilees, Cain's wife is named Awan, the second daughter of Adam and Eve. Awan's sister, Azura, married Abel, and later married Seth.
· Abel's twin sister According to the Genesis Rabbah, Cain married one of Abel's twin sisters.
· Another daughter of Adam and Eve Early Christians believed that Cain married one of Adam and Eve's other daughters after wandering for years.
· Necessity Some conservative readers argue that marriage between siblings was necessary and safe in early human history.
The Bible does not forbid inter-family marriage until much later in Leviticus 18:6–18
